Thank you everyone for making this Alumni Home Coming a grand success.



Dear Esteemed Alumni,

It was a pleasure finally meeting you at the Alumni Meet 2012 at NIT Jamshedpur. We truly enjoyed your company; hearing about the good old college days; the satisfaction of watching your elated childlike faces as you bonded with your old friends and college; learning more about the current needs of the institute, and being able to lend an ear to some of the most hilarious anecdotes. It was also heart rendering to see the alumni garner up support for the institute. You all are, in the truest of all senses, heroes. Thank you, Dear Alumni.

We are happy to let you know that the agenda of the meet, which was formation of NIT Jamshedpur Alumni Association, was discussed exhaustively and efforts are being made in the right direction to achieve this hitherto unrealised dream. An Ad hoc committee comprising of ten chairs was set-up to expedite all required procedures in order to form the association. The ad hoc committee has been assigned the responsibility of:

• Forming a registered Alumni Association of the institute.
• To formulate bye- laws and constitution of the association.
• To create coordination between the many registered and unregistered Alumni Association throughout the country.
• To successfully elect/select the office bearers of the association as per the rules laid out in the constitution.

Last but not the least, we would also like to add that, now that we have regained contact, I urge all of you to please spread the message around and ensure that no one gets left out. We are excited about this development, and I am pretty sure you are too. We here at the institute promise you that no efforts shall be spared to reconnect you with your alma mater. We wish as you do that the next meet planned in the month of December 2012, would be grander and would witness even greater turnout. So, let us all get together and provide support to each other and move from one strength to another.
